Saturday 28th 2010, Bradford:
English Defence League (EDL) stage protest in Bradford to protest ‘peacefully against militant Islam’.
EDL members clashed with riot police throwing missiles. Some members managed to get over the fencing surrounding the area and were pelting bricks, rocks and bottles at the police and the press.
Bradford has seen the worst race riots in the summer of 2001 and the city is still scarred by that event. This time both groups, the EDL and local youth were kept apart. Thirteen people were arrested.

Thursday 5th August, London:
‘Shariah 4 Pakistan’ stage protest outside Pakistani embassy in London. Pakistani prime minister Ali Zardari is on his official visit to United Kingdom.
Anjem Choudary, the man behind banned ‘Islam 4 UK’ which later became ‘Muslims Against Crusades’, attended the protest.

Thursday 22nd July 2010, Luton:
Members of the English Defence League (EDL) gather outside Luton’s Crown Court where Kevin Carroll, 41, lost his appeal angainst his conviction for shouting abuse at Muslims during a soldiers’ homecoming parade in Luton last year.
EDL clashed with Muslim Defence League (MDL) in the town centre and outside the Lloyds Bar.

Saturday 17th July 2010, Dudley:
Around 500 English Defence League (EDL) supporters gather at Stafford Street car park to protest ‘peacefully against ‘militant’ Islam.
Protest turned violent with people tearing down the fencing surrounding the protest. Some members flooded out of the car park, rampaging through the streets of Dudley, smashing cars and clashing with police. Brick, metalwork, stones and bottles were thrown at the police.
20 pople were arrested, twlelve of them for possesing an offensive weapon.

Sunday 4th July, 2010, London:
Photographers gather outside the New Scotland Yard, London SW1 to celebrate the drop of Section 44 of the Terrorism Act.
On 30th June 2010 the European Court of Human Rights rejected the British government’s final appeal over section 44 stop and search powers.
Police was widely using this section against photographers and journalists preventing them from carrying on their jobs.
